Tech AI-Copilot (“the Extension”, “we”, “us”) provides an AI-assisted tool designed to help professional automotive technicians improve workflow efficiency. This Privacy Policy describes how the Extension handles information that users voluntarily submit while using its features.

We are committed to transparency and to protecting user privacy. We do not collect, store, sell, or share personal information.

Tech AI-Copilot does not automatically collect any personal or sensitive user data.

The only information processed by the Extension is:

The Extension does not monitor, scrape, or automatically access webpages.

User-submitted content is securely transmitted to our backend service and/or OpenAI’s API solely for the purpose of generating AI responses requested by the user.

• Not stored, logged, profiled, or used for any secondary purpose
   

We do not retain, sell, or analyze user data beyond generating the requested response.

We do not store or retain any user-submitted content.

• No databases
   
• No long-term logs
   
• No analytical profiling
   
• No training datasets
   

All processing is ephemeral and exists only while fulfilling the user’s active request.

We do not sell, rent, or transfer data to third parties.

The only time data leaves the user’s browser is when:

1. The user enters text into the Extension
    
2. The Extension sends that text to OpenAI’s API or our secure backend
    
3. A response is returned
    

OpenAI processes the text only to produce the response and does not retain or use the data to train models unless the user has separately opted in through their OpenAI account.

No other third parties receive any information.

Tech AI-Copilot does not use:

• Cookies
   
• Analytics trackers
   
• Advertising identifiers
   
• Behavioral tracking tools
   

We do not track users across websites or devices.

The Extension may require the following permissions:

Used to display the AI assistant in an always-available sidebar.
Does not read or access webpage content.

Used only to enable user-initiated actions.
Does not read, modify, or inspect webpage data.

Used to save UI preferences (theme, model selection, sidebar state).
No personal information is stored.

Required to securely send user-submitted text to generate AI responses.
No executable code is downloaded or run from remote sources.

We implement standard industry security practices to protect user-submitted data during transit, including:

• HTTPS encryption
   
• Secure API endpoints
   
• No long-term storage
   

This extension is not intended for use by children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

We may update this Privacy Policy as needed. Updates will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
